Player Characters

BartleyJoel Bartley - Joel Bartley grew up in the sunny elfin lands in the southern part of Arajara. His parents were farmers and taught him the value of a simple life. His childhood was shadowed by only one thing: his mother had married a human. He was never openly scorned but always felt the cold pride of the children who were full elves.

His world was shattered suddenly by an attack by Dark Elves that caused the death of both of his parents. He spent the next few years in the care of his Elfin Grandmother, Wren Elessedil. But life no longer held any interest and he remained despondent and depressed.

All of this changed when he was 14 and his Grandmother took him to the sacred Temple of Rohaadin in the southern mountains. He doesn't speak of that visit much, but since then he has had a renewed interest in life.

Since he was younger, Joel has been studying the magic arts. His studies have finally brought him to the country of Thelic where he studies at the Ristonn University of Higher Knowledge.

Joel's features are predominantly Elfin with striking, jet black, shoulder length hair and piercing jade eyes.

NarwickLyttillian Narwick - He was born to Counsor and Lellieta Narwick in 563 CE in their home in Ristonn. His father was a knight in the Kings Guard and his mother stayed at home and took care of Lyttillian and his brother and sister. Lyttillian had a rather quiet childhood (except for the time he was chased by an Orc for three miles in the forest). He dreamed of becoming a knight like his father and is still fascinated with weapons and armor. He joined the Thelic Army and is currently assigned as a scout - but he is working toward being able to train to become a knight. At home he lives quietly in the scout barracks in Ristonn, occasionally going out with his friends for parties and other gatherings. He dresses like most of his peers except for his wolf skin cloak and skull talisman he wears around his neck. He likes to have wine with his meals and has a taste for goats meat.

ValennorValennor - Valennor make a handsome figure, standing tall in his fine clothes, a crafty glint to his eyes. He has grown fond of the wine and fine Ouda steaks of the rich upper class he steals from. He is always ready for an adventure of any type, although sometimes he gets the nagging feeling that he could be arrested someday for his life of thievery. Valennor was orphaned while he was still too young to have a good memory about his parents -- elderly friends say he was born sometime in the year 566 CE. He has vague memories of playing with his mother in a cave as a little boy. As an orphan he eventually arrived in Ristonn and was taken in by a group of tramps. He spent his childhood begging, pickpocketing, and fleeing the city constables and quickly learned how to hide and move silently in the shadows. As he got older he was introduced an important figure in the Thelic underworld, Captain Yaloruu. The friendship gave Valennor many new opportunities. When he was fourteen years old, Valennor had a brush with death as he attempted to steal a chest from a wizard who was staying at a local inn. He doesn't like to talk about what happened but will admit that Captain Yaloruu helped him finally escape. This experience didn't suppress his adventurous spirit for long and once again he was up to his usual tricks, attending (albeit uninvited) upper class parties to see what he could pickpocket, lifting expensive or magical items from unsuspecting victims, dodging the law, and generally making a name for himself in the underworld in Ristonn. A year ago, just before being drafted for a mandatory year in the Thelic army, he was hired by Lord Marwin to retrieve a valuable weapon from a mountain called Morbid. His success gave him another ally and friend in Marwin..
