This campaign is not yet active.

The campaign takes place in Wythmende's past when the first empires were growing and expanding. Part of the idea is to create a "history" for the game world based on players actions. The player characters will beginning as leaders of a small tribe or kingdom and their goal will be to help their people grow and become as successful and powerful as they can, through diplomacy, conflict, and exploration.

The rules will be a combination of FUDGE and the Matrix Game. Each turn represents about 3 years worth of game time. Players are encouraged to think strategically when playing out each turn. Diplomacy and character interaction will be role-played while much of the rest of the game will be settled Matrix Game style.

Players will be able to pick their race; either Shui, Elf, or Kah. These races are described in more detail under that heading in the menu. A players choice will determine their starting location in Wythmende, what type of resources are available, and certain limitations that apply to each race. In general the Shui have an advantage in technology and are well organized politically, but have a limited understanding of nature and magic. The Elves have a much greater understanding of magic, but are caught up in tribal rivalries that make it difficult for them to organize into anything more than small tribes. The Kah have an innate understanding of nature and have some ability to manipulate their genetics and those of other animals and races, but their magic and technology are primitive.
