News

There's not much news this time.  We haven't played in a while, and
there might not be much of a chance in the next couple of weeks.  But
I do still have plans for continuing the adventure we started.

Otherwise the only work I've really done is to add a "Book of
Creatures" to the website.  It has some creatures on it and I will be
adding more as time goes on.

Magical Items

Items can be enchanted with a variety of spells.  Enchanting is a
costly procedure and an item that has a successful spell cast on it
will be very valuable.  The type of spell depends on the function of
the item:

Swords and knives - most common are accuracy and puissance to increase
damage and accuracy.  Swords are often given other powers - usually
ones that can be cast on staffs.

Staffs - being a mage's most common tool, many types of spells can be
found enchanted on a staff.

Bows - usually only the arrows are enchanted (being more effective
that way).  Accuracy and damage are common, as well as special
damaging effects - although it is often lest costly to use poisons for
extra damage or special purposes.

Crowns, tiaras, and other headpieces - enchanted with spells that
affect the mind, such as Truthsayer and Detect Lies.

Necklaces and bracelets - often enchanted with protection spells.
Other spells, such as breathe water, detect magic, etc., can be used
too.

Rings - a favorite for enchantment.  A large variety of spells are
found enchanted into rings - especially ones that affect the wearer.

Not every magical item is enchanted with a good spell, sometimes one
can find items that are cursed - sometimes out of maliciousness, but
often from a failed enchantment.
